Drosera rotundifolia & Drosera intermedia from other locations

Photos taken on 27th July & 21st August 2004

I returned on 27th July. In the first stream there now seemed to be equal numbers of D. rotundifolia, medium-leaved and long-leaved, while in the second stream the medium leaved predominated. There was also at least one with very long leaves. I wondered if all three species were present here, plus a hybrid, but it seems most likely that the leaves become progressively longer as the season progresses
Flowers on the long leaved ones were usually just one or two and not very tall with usually just one seed pod, while the medium-leaved ones were much more robust and had tall flowering stems.

probably D. anglica

Long-leaved
This plant has flowered and shows the peduncle arising from the side and curving upwards. This does not appear to be true of the other long-leaved plants
