This specimen is encrusted with barnacles and worm shells and measures 57 x 77 mm

This specimen measures 105 x 125 mm

Chlamys islandica sub-fossil aged about 10,000 years. Many of these shells can be found on beaches along the Clyde Coast in Western Scotland
