In 2002 our ducks returned on 24th March - just 2 days later than in 2001.
On 29th March Jenny was sitting at the window when she started making her special noise for very large birds. I looked out of the window and saw that the ducks had discovered our pond.
That's the end of all our ornamental water plants.
Never mind - the pond needed clearing out anyway.
The starlings think the pond is much better for bathing in now,
but Mrs Duck prefers to wash in the paint tray we put out as a bird bath
